Hope Services Strategic Plan

KKL Collective partnered with HOPE Services Hawai‘i to develop a strategic plan grounded in collaboration with leadership, staff, and community stakeholders. The plan strengthens core services, expands housing and behavioral health initiatives, and provides a sustainable framework for long-term organizational growth.

Ka Pewa Youth Summit

KKL Collective launched The Maui Nui Hui Internship Program in 2024 to empower local high school students as emerging community leaders. Through this initiative, students planned and executed the first youth-led gathering of its kind on Maui Nui, the Ka Pewa Youth Summit. The summit brought together youth and community leaders to collaborate, share ideas, and co-create solutions for Hawai‘i’s future, fostering empowerment, connection, and long-term impact.

Department of 'Ōiwi Resources Strategic Plan

KKL Collective developed the strategic plan as the kahua (foundation) for the Department of ʻŌiwi Resources, using a values-driven approach to guide Maui County in protecting Indigenous resources and advancing community well-being, cultural vitality, and environmental sustainability.

Aloha Maui Podcast

KKL Collective partnered with the Hawai‘i Community Foundation to produce Aloha Maui, a podcast hosted by Maui’s Morning Goddess. Created to uplift community voices and stories of resilience, Aloha Maui highlights the people, partnerships, and progress shaping Maui’s recovery and renewal. Through authentic storytelling and local perspectives, the podcast fosters connection, hope, and collective strength across the island.

Hālau of ʻŌiwi Art

KKL Collective supported the development of the Hālau of ʻŌiwi Art, a center envisioned through the mana‘o of Maui’s kumu hula and hālau hula. The project seeks to create a gathering place for the community that advances the cultural, social, and historical impact of Native Hawaiian ʻŌiwi art and practices.

Ka Laʻi Ola

KKL Collective supported the development of Ka La‘i Ola (KLO), a temporary housing community designed to provide stability and support for up to 1,500 wildfire survivors over the next five years. The project represents a critical step in Maui’s recovery—offering safe, dignified housing and a foundation for families to heal and rebuild.
